Simple illusions of a complex mind twirl indecent interpretations into a guilty sigh
trapped within the banana skins and apple peels of someone else’s mind
a ragged red towel lies just off of University way
appearing as a carcass - a flag of collective distaste
the burn of comfort crusts over her mouth while bitter funeral treats melt into the dimples of her thighs
the confusion of multitasking diminishes into the warmth of knowing that she will stay
